I think they discontinued cotton TNQ because it's so awful.  I used a pattern that called for an entirely different yarn, and the body came out much shorter than I expected.  I need a fix, so I'm going to lengthen it from the bottom. Amazing New Zealand lambswool, spun then plaited into a super bulky. It's knit from The Knittery's custom-dyed baby loop mohair.  The Knittery is in Australia and has awesome prices on yarn; you can contact the owner and tell her what specific color you want your yarn dyed.  Even with shipping (I think it was about $7) it was a real bargain. The shrug can be converted into a large wrap, just untie the ribbons. I rarely wear purple, but loved the wrap.  There was no pattern, so I bought similar yarns and used the wrap as inspiration. It's supposedly wool and acrylic,  and has the diameter of my pinky.  I bought it as a substitute to the Brown Sheep Burly Spun on impulse which was a mistake: it ended up being more expensive and not nearly as nice of a yarn! They turned out pretty nice and they don't shrink so you can put them in the laundry if need be. This isn't my favorite fingerless pattern but it was pretty easy and with the variegated yarn it might be the best pattern for my last balls of sock yarn. I wanted one that would hold ALL of my needles; not practical for out &amp; about use-- I wanted one for home that would look nice and tidyi lying around the loft. It's humongous, like 36"x45"! The tote turned out really nice, I lined it with an embroidered olive silk fabric.  It's very large, about 24" across at the top. I took him to his internal medicine vet on Friday.  He took x-rays.  Friday's cancer has masticized into his lungs from his liver.  He has anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks to live, depending how fast his lungs deteriorate and fill with fluid.  Needless to say, I didn't go to the knit-togethers this weekend. I decided to change the YOs to regular increases; I didn't want the swirling eyelets because there'll be enough going on with the different yarn colors and textures.
